TERMS AND CONDITIONS
THE GOLF VILLAGE SOMERSET WEST

By signing up as a member, you are entering into a legally binding agreement with Aspire Sport Online (Pty) Ltd, trading as The Golf Village Somerset West (“the Club”).
​
By completing your membership sign up, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, as updated from time to time and published on this website.
​
MEMBERSHIP FEES, DURATION, AND INCREASES
Memberships commence on the selected start date and continue for the minimum term selected at sign up. After completion of the minimum term, memberships automatically continue on a month-to-month basis unless cancelled in accordance with the cancellation policy below.
​
Membership fees are payable by debit order or upfront payment only. No EFT, cash, or alternative payment methods are accepted.
​
A once-off Joining Fee is payable when activating a membership. The Joining Fee is non-refundable, subject to the statutory cooling-off period.
​
An annual membership levy, equal to one month’s membership fee, is payable in December of each year or included in upfront memberships.
​
Membership fees are subject to an annual increase applied on the anniversary of the member’s start date.
​
Membership fees automatically adjust if a member moves into a new applicable age category.
Membership fees remain payable regardless of usage, unless the membership is formally frozen.
​
CANCELLATION OF MEMBERSHIPS
Cancellations may only be requested once the minimum membership term has been completed.
​
Members may cancel their membership after the minimum term by providing twenty business days written notice.
​
Early cancellation during the minimum term will incur a cancellation fee equal to fifty percent of the remaining contract value.
​
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.
​
FREEZING OF MEMBERSHIPS
Members may request to freeze their membership for a maximum period of four months.
During an approved freezing period, membership fees are paused and no monthly fees are charged.
​
Any freezing period will extend the minimum membership term by the same number of months frozen.
​
Freezing requests must be submitted in writing and are subject to approval. Freezing will not be approved where a membership account is in arrears.
​
ACCESS TO THE FACILITY
Access to The Golf Village is managed via the Club mobile application using a unique QR code generated on entry.
​
The Club may restrict or suspend access where membership fees are unpaid, capacity limits apply, health and safety requirements apply, or facility rules are breached.
​
Access restrictions do not suspend membership fees unless the membership is formally frozen.
​
Members and guests under the age of twelve years must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
​
WAIVER AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
All use of the facilities is at the member’s own risk.
​
The Club is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property.
​
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Club’s liability is limited to the total membership fees paid by the member during the preceding twelve months.
​
PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
The Club processes personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act.
​
Members consent to the use of photographic and or videographic images captured at the facility for marketing and promotional purposes.
​
GENERAL
The Club reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Updated versions will be published on this website.
​
Continued use of the facilities constitutes acceptance of the latest version of these Terms and Conditions.
